Schoolboard Meeting Reflections
Candidates should respond to the questions stated below upon return from the schoolboard meeting:
Use your initials to start your blog
For example, NLM requires you to reflect and respond to the following questions:
School board meetings are the legally required local meeting for legislative action of a public school system
The official reports presented at those meetings are official public records of those proceedings. This should have possibly been .covered in Foundations of Education and your Social Studies course.
Also, have copies of the resume sent as a respose to this message. We will have a blog after this meeting tonight. Our topics for discussion will be as follows:
1. What were the action items on the agenda?
2. What are the most important observations that you made from the meeting and how can you compare your observations to your INTASC Standards?
3. Which action items caused you to ponder or wonder, if any?
4. How did this meeting impact your understanding of the politics of education and Why?
