The needs of children and communities can be improved by study and understanding the feelings that show up on the face of persons within the community. Looks are associated with feelings that are associated with experiences. An understanding of experiences can open the door for transformative leadership to provide policies or procedures that can change situation that affect feelings in spite of social condition and economic factors. The expressions on the faces of children and persons must be properly interpreted as the reality of said persons. Transformative leaders must ensure understanding with constituents to make sure that suggestive policies and procedures meet the need of the community.
From listening to this song, which ELCC Standard and element links message to your understanding and purpose as a school leader? A proper understanding of the expression on the faces of persons being served can help the leader apply the best practices for the situation. The best practices to student learning should hinge on the student and the situation. Best practices categories may be better terminology to provide an overall compass for understanding and purposes as a leader.
Earth, Wind, & Fire’s music conveys messages of universal love and harmony. They wrote and sang about positive thoughts and reactions (ELCC Standard 5). As transformational leaders, our message should transcend to the children and to the community that we serve. We should be the voice of hope to the many children who face adversities and who live with uncertainty in all aspects of their lives. Some of the adversities include children that have been neglected, the delinquent, homeless, and the migrant children in our society.
When educators from every organizational level collaborate (ELCC Standard 4) to integrate services and dramatically improve learning opportunities of children, the intent and purpose of our educational system will be served. In order to improve the social conditions of children, we must optimize their learning environments. The use of federal Title I dollars to create Title I school wide programs are paramount (ELCC Standard 3). The planning process must involve staff, parents, and community members in the implementation of the plan (ELCC Standard 4). The plan must include several components which are: a comprehensive need assessment of the entire school, a school reform strategy, and hiring highly qualified and motivated teachers. The hired teachers should be given ongoing professional development (ELCC Standard 2) and parental involvement should be in place. In addition to this, family literacy services should be provided (ELCC Standard 4). Other programs may include: violence prevention, nutrition education, housing, adult education, and job training programs. Thus making family/community activities and resources essential.
Mr. Ward:
You suggested the type of qualities and character traits that should be valued added. It is hopefully that leaders look at what is on their face as they measure the needs of others.
Mrs. Adams:
I really hope that this message can be shared in t
He future with others. You really produced some introspective and externally linked moorings that should never be forgotten. I amve pleased to read that you caught the essence of the message.
Mr. Ward and Mrs Adams:
I want you to exchange your experiences with each other so that you can read them in class on Monday.
Mr. Shakespeare:
I would like for you to read your reflections to this song.
My fault Doc. I read your comment a little late. If you still would like me to read my reflection, I'll be glad to do it.
